3. Prepare the Surface

4. Apply the UVDTF Decal

• Full Wrap Methods:  If your decal fully wraps around the product (like a glass coffee cup), there are a few methods to ensure there are no air bubbles and it is correct around the whole product.  One of the most popular methods is peeling off part of the backing paper, adhering a section of the film to your product, and then slowly peeling the backing paper while smoothing out air bubbles all around your product.  At this point you would then peel the transfer film off the entire cup or object.

After squeegeeing and smoothing the decal out for a few minutes with your hand, your body heat should have activated the adhesive, and you are ready to peel the transfer film off slowly. If any part of the design pulls back up with the transfer film, press back down and firmly squeegee and apply care when pulling up off the product.

Whether it’s a personalized glass coffee cup or a customized keychain, your UVDTF decal will have a smooth, durable finish. If desired, you can add a protective coating or laminate over the decal for extra durability, especially if the product will be washed frequently.

While UVDTF is typically water resistant and weather resistant, it is NOT dishwasher recommended as high heat, water pressure, and harsh detergents can degrade the decal and cause it to crack or come off.  Always hand wash!
